Our hearts and hopes for a long lasting relationship are just breaking after hearing that Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have pulled the plug on their three-year relationship. You know, we were really pulling for them and seriously thought these two brilliant actors would make it. Sarcasm, we love it.
And while Jessica Simpson is somewhat rebounding the (we guess?) sort of career she once had, we also believe she's secretly laughing in pure pleasure while she digs into her third carton of Ben & Jerry's.
A source says that it was an "amicable" split, with both sides still wanting to remain "friends." The source also explains: "They still care about each other very much. This is what's best for both of them." (source)
It's pretty sad because when you're both low on the Hollywood totem pole, you have no one else to date, but the pathetic waiting in the wings future reality stars. That or you release a sex tape. We're hoping they both will spare us by doing neither and going into early Hollywood retirement.
