Kris Allen beats rocker Adam Lambert with over 100 million viewer during last nights finale. The 23 year old stood in total shock when Ryan Seacrest announced his name last night as the winner of the eighth season of American Idol.
"Are you serious?! Are you friggin' serious?!" exclaimed Allen after the results were revealed. (source)
Last week Simon Cowell made a comment that he [Kris Allen] was "not a good enough singer to compete with Adam" in the finale and added "the only one who can compete with Adam on vocals is Danny [Gokey]." In your face Simon!

congradulations to kris. tho he has a nice voice and seems to be a very nice guy, adam should have won this competition. this is supposed to be about talent not getting a dropped contestants votes. tho kris too has talent, adam far surpasses him and everyone else this year. I no longer will be watching idol because it no longer makes any difference how talented you are, it's how much the viewers like you. that's why I stopped watching dancing with the stars. It's all about popularity and not talent. why even have judges then ? just vote for your favorite even if they can't sing or dance. and congradulations to adam too for bringing excitement back into television, and for always maintaining his humbleness, class, and unbelievable talent. the best of the world to you adam.2. camelia
